I’m usually very
tactful and conscientious of the multi faceted audience that read my post, but
today, I must say, “The police go too far!” How does a 25 yr old man, get chased,
caught, cuffed and the police call in for a paddy wagon in less than 4 minutes
but after that, it takes the police 30 minutes to call for paramedics?
Question, did the police ignore Freddie’s injuries for 30 minutes or did the
police cause his injury while in their custody? According to the pictures that
show Freddie getting into the paddy wagon, there was no injury that the police
overlooked, that would indicate they were depriving Freddie from emergency
medical attention. So why did the police wait 30 minutes after Freddie was in
the paddy wagon, to call for paramedics? Bottom line, they got carried away and
beat Freddie to the point of needing emergency medical attention. I’m like,
Damn these are suppose to be the people who took an oath to protect the
communities they serve but instead of protecting, they’re serving and what they’re
serving is death! I do believe that black folks have been very gracious and
forgiving towards the injustices that we’ve encountered but there is coming a
day, when ALL DEBTS will be PAID. A
society cannot continue to thrive and prosper by accumulating debt; whether
it’s financial, or emotional. But hell, this is America; she can owe every country
and live comfortable inside of a delusion, that no one wants to get paid. Black
America has grown to understand that our expectation for justice from the
police can fall by the way side; but the question arises, should we expect
justice from America? The Department of Justice needs to get this one right. R.I.P. Freddie Gray
