How does a highly
decorated, 19 yr veteran go from being, “the best of the best”, a professional
leader worthy of early promotion; to being unfit for service in the U.S.
military, in the span of five months?
Answer: Become a
Christian Chaplain in the U.S. Navy and counsel service men and women, whose
sexual preference is contrary to your faith. That’s exactly what happened to
Chaplain Modder. Something is terribly wrong, when you ask a Christian to pray
but don’t use the name of Jesus. Whose name did the captain expect him to pray
in?
If I’m a bank robber and
I seek out counsel from a police chief; it’s a good probability that I might
not like what the police chief has to say about bank robbers. It’s not that the
police chief is judging the bank robber; he is merely stating what the law
says. What the U.S. Navy wanted Chaplain Modder to do was, disregard his faith
when it clashes with the culture. If the culture endorses abortion, tell the
chaplain to support pro-choice. If the culture endorses fornication, tell the
chaplain to support “safe sex”. If the culture endorses Satanism, tell the
chaplain he can still wear his cross; just make sure it’s up-side down.
I salute Chaplain Modder
for keeping the faith, and sticking to the script; instead of cowering down to
the god of this culture (Satan). I’m asking every believer to keep Chaplain
Modder and his family in your prayers. Believe it or not, persecution is coming
BUT, the good news is that persecution is what multiplied the church. Fight the
good fight!
