Since I'm Black, I'ma Democrat?

Usually when I do a post, I try to shed light on topics that have been reported but need a different perspective on them. But with this post not so; I’m merely attempting to create some dialogue on the question of when did the Democratic Party inherit the black vote? I’ve spoken to African Americans throughout this presidential race and found that the majority of blacks are democratic. When approached as to why they’re allegiance is to the Democratic Party, I haven’t received an answer that is definitive. It does appear that the Democratic Party places little to no value on campaigning for the black vote, as if our votes are automatic or inherited.  One would think that for a race of people to align themselves with a specific political party faithfully, that race was a huge benefactor of who is put in power but that clearly isn’t the case for African Americans. Most African Americans that I spoke with lacked the insight as to where the K.K.K. or the Jim Crow laws were originated from (Democrats or Dixiecrats). Most blacks will point to Bill Clinton and say he was a pretty decent Democratic president but somehow overlook Bill Clinton’s bill of “Three Strikes’; which has been very detrimental towards blacks who committed crimes.

So if you’re reading this I really need for you to shed some light as to why African Americans are more faithful to the Democratic Party than the Pope is to Jesus Christ. At least the Pope does get a seat of superior notoriety, fame, paid luxurious housing, top notch security, splendid healthcare, and unlimited earning potential.  Is there something that blacks get from being faithful to the Democratic Party?
